April 16, 2015 - Beautiful again - sad that it's the last bottle. Even better on day 2. Spicy, red fruited pinot with nice acidity and backbone. Slight burnt carmel notes lurk. Some cola as well. Finish was not super long. Fragrant.

October 22, 2012 - What a nice contrast beside a KB Kanzler. This is like a NZ pinot on the nose with sweet bouquet of ripe fruits and flowers. The color is dark and the body much heavier than the KB. Dark fruits with earthiness dominate. It is completely seemless and integrated. A great example of California Pinot.

November 13, 2009 - Deep ruby color. Big palate -- almost too much for me this time. Lots of tart cranberries and sour cherries. There's some spice and earth as well, but this comes across as a little hot.

June 28, 2009 - A touch of alcohol on the nose, with hints of vanilla. Sharp cranberry with a touch of alcohol, but a very nice smooth body that isn't hindered by the somewhat apparent alcohol. Overall the fruit is still very primary and strong, and leaves a nice pleasant impression. Finishes with a touch of vanilla.
The question that remains is, what is the progression of this wine from here. Significant fruit remains but the alcohol definitely was creeping on the wine. I plan on retrying this in a few months and wonder if it won't be passed its peak within two years.

January 18, 2009 - Medium ruby color, slight haze and a bit of a robe. Big roasted raspberry nose, with spice and almost a chateaneuf-like gaminess. This is rich on the palate, with roasted fruit dominating and complemented by cinnamon, cocoa powder and allspice. This is really growing on me as it opens up -- just really nice stuff.
