May 10, 2019 - Six months later: Funk and apparent volitility have taken over. Presents more like a natural and defective Beaujolais than Pinot Noir. Consistent results over five nights.

December 2, 2018 - About two years since our prior. This, our third, was lighter, thinner, with pronounced strawberry poking through the prevailing funk. Went quite well with braised lamb shoulder. Interesting enough over three nights — but looking back at my original note, it was nothing like that. Rather seems that it’s falling apart.

October 8, 2018 - By the glass. Aseptic and inconsequential PN. Unripened cherries and vegetable notes on the nose and sharp acidity in the mouth. No feeling of terroir at all. A young wine without too much hopes at this moment.

Por copas. Aséptico e intrascendente PN. Cerezas sin madurar y notas vegetales en nariz y cortante acidez en boca. Ninguna sensación de terruño. Un vino joven sin mucha esperanza ahora mismo.

July 29, 2017 - Super fruity with funk that eventually blows off. Has that semi-carbonic thing going on. Very interesting Pinot Noir.

March 13, 2017 - not the right wine for winter. It is light bodied and something like a cross between Beaujolais and a red Jura. Sour and funky, it improves with air, but really seems like something to be served cool with summer barbeque

March 3, 2017 - The carbonic maceration sets a pretty strong signature, to the point that I would have gone to Bojo blind. Pretty, juicy fruit makes it very easy drinking. A charming natural wine, without disturbing off-notes. Some complexity but rather short finish.

December 19, 2016 - A few months later: wow, this most recent took on funk 10 minutes after opening -- and retained it over three nights. It behaved like a natural wine, with cinnamon and a touch of clove. Unless our initial perceptions were off, this last bottle was quite different from the original.

August 26, 2016 - Light, bright ruby. Lovely balance. Simultaneously fresh and earthy. Complexity developed substantially from day one through three. We have had many 1er cru Bourgogne that did not approach this young wine, and we will certainly get more of this, and its brother from the same vintage, a stunningly good Poulsard. Bravo for this and other recent examples of super Jura rouge!
