November 27, 2018 - Red and black fruits on the nose and on the palate. Very pronounced nose of raspberry and strawberry compote and some florals.
    Long but simple finish.
    Breakfast wine, eh?!

February 20, 2018 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Medium ruby with some purple hues. The nose is a little reticent, medium (-) in intensity, opening up to reveal black plums and red cherries. No oak. The palate is dry, consistent with the nose, with medium (+) acidity, medium tannins and alcohol (13.5%). This is a pleasant, food-friendly wine. It is still showing well, but is not intended for aging.

December 10, 2017 - Short, sharp and difficult. Like a few ex-girlfriends from college. Beautiful bottle and storied lineage but a distinct vegetal quality comes through, early and pronounced after an initial attack of red fruits and cinnamon. Really drops off quickly and leaves a lingering tannic sourness.

August 22, 2016 - The nose has loads of purple fruits and the scent of violets. The palate is deep and complex for Dolcetto and whilst there is fleshy, creamy fruit the wines bright acidity adds freshness and vitality. There's some licorice and good chew to the finish. It has superb balance and is a deliciously crunchy, engaging dry red.
