August 18, 2018 - Bright cherry, blackberry and roses in the nose, wine is open.The oriental spice is gone, will it come back? Now more a mix of German, Burgundy and american PN in the nose but more acidity then 2013:and 2012 on the palate.Interesting wine.
Still a great pinot noir, but I prefer Stodden's regular Herrenberg at about the same price (# the Herrenberg GG) for now. lt will be nice to see how the third bottle will age. -

December 17, 2016 - Great drink showing the great vineyard site and a bright, zingy character. Also suffering a bit from the vintage traits: higher acidity and leaner body - compared to the 2013, absolutely lovely PN nonetheless!

July 16, 2016 - Utterly lovely rendition of German Pinot Noir! Combines the best of Germany, Burgundy and a wee bit US-style ripeness in an overall delightfully airy, 'northern', fresh/non-candied way - just enough of the good stuff. Zappy and bright - Cherries and roses. Perfect level of woodsmoke.

May 9, 2016 - Closed initially, but has also just travelled to Denmark. Opens up to show the spicy oak and zingy cherries one comes to expect after the 2013's, but this has raspberries and herbaceousness too, with som stemmy/leafy notes. Quite promising and should be much more approachable in a month
