August 31, 2022 - This wine has reached its zenith and should be consumed soon.
Certainly pleasant enough and has sufficient interesting factors to hold one's interest. It is not a wine of depth and grandeur of a Hermitage or Northern Rhone but at its price point, one should not expect it.
Still green, the nose is a lovely blend of lemon, nectar and orange peel. Body follows the same path but has some Viognier characteristics showing butter and touch of creaminess. Finish is broad and showing some honey and floral notes.

What I like about this wine is that it gets S Rhone's acidity balance without bourboulenc or clairette
