  April 1, 2022 - Pop and pour at Wu’s Wonton King. Fine ruby robe with some bricking. A nice spicy, strawberry, underbrush character to the nose with just a bit of pinoté on the periphery. The palate is ripe, but not blowsy, nor hot with red fruits and a bit of funk and sousbois lending the Gamay juiciness some dimension. Tannins are present, though well on their way to resolved. This is far less monolithic than a bottle from 4 years ago. Delightful and well worth whatever I paid for it way back when.

  November 28, 2019 - Just dynamite- so fresh and youthful. Beautiful nose with plenty of funk - initially bordered on dirty Sox. It largely blew off with lush strawberries, mint, etc. transparent and minerally and great balance - lovely with thanksgiving fare. One of the top bojo wines I’ve ever had - impressive and I wish I had more...

  August 7, 2018 - Opens up with distinct farmyard notes. Funky and earthy, it takes half an hour for the farm notes to blow off and for the fruit to emerge. The fruit is still fresh, there is hints of cranberry, and the structure is impressive. The lightness and finesse is wonderful. Great wine, better than last hit in 2017.

  September 24, 2017 - Au premier abord, c'est un joli morgon, frais et digeste, moderne avant l'heure (c'est qu'il y en a beaucoup qui courent après ce style aujourd'hui…), net, et bio donc, offrant beaucoup de finesse.
  Pour comprendre et comparer, j'avais ouvert un morgon 2005 de Desvignes (cuvee la Voute st Vincent), plus classique, kirsché, fleurant bon l'iris, le cuir noble. La différence était énorme entre les deux, car le Lapierre n'affichait pas le profil solaire du millesime, alors que l'autre oui.
  Pourtant au bout de 2 jours, le Lapierre sans s'oxyder ou se fatiguer, a capté la même personnalité, avec un iris typiquement gamay agé, de la cerise noire aussi.
