  December 21, 2016 - The wine has a very interesting character imparted by the Whiskey barrels. Nose is surprisingly absent. The front of the taste surprised me as being a bit thin( like being made from the Crush blend); it is sweet as expected (too sweet for me) The middle is light on the fruit but that is made up from a Maple syrup flavor interwoven in the grape flavors. The finish has grape flavors plus some caramel mocha and a surprisingly light oak. Another interesting variation by Apothic.
