November 29, 2022 - A fantastic wine. Opened with a nose of black cherry, dark plum and a touch of leather. This beautifully balanced wine with soft tannins and rich ripe dark fruit, black cherry, plum and blackberry was sooo good. A real mouthful of delicious fruit. Finish was long and ended with a nice chocolate flavor! An amazing wine - glad I have 6 more as it gets better every year!!

Secondary spice and earthy undertones are barely settling in, and the tannins are still relatively firm.

December 20, 2020 - Opened at 1:30pm and left inside the cellar until 6pm, then decanted for 30 min and was still shut down on the nose, so I double decant it (back into the bottle and back to the decanter) and 10 min after it was singing!!! Lots of smoke, mocha, tobacco, and fascinating finish. I see this wine gaining in complexity in the next 3-5 years so I’m holding onto my last bottle.
Had with Omaha Filet Mignon Private Reserve medium, double bake potatoes and porcini risotto from Giovanni’s!
