August 25, 2019 - Accessible now, but likely to improve. Classic and typical in the best possible way - cherry, tar, and roses of course, but there is both real sheen and style. Mineral energy, hints of the savoury. Nothing too dense and modern here, just a very well knit together Barbaresco with good structure and a lot of pleasure. Superb value.

July 6, 2017 - Tasted at the L'Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco on 7/3. Impressive! Compelling bouquet, typical of the style, with interwoven fruit, floral, and mineral notes. Firm, energetic, and lifted, with a piercing quality. Layered, precise, and beautifully balanced. The wine drinks like a single cru from a celebrated producer. It can age for a decade or more. Great QPR!
