December 6, 2022 - Good but not great. Red cherries and light floral aromas with some red raspberries, blueberries and light oak. Some spice. Medium bodied with silky tannins. Not that much on the finish.

September 10, 2021 - Still on the young side. Tannins are dominate with raspberry and and creme de cassis. More Medoc than Napa at this point.

June 17, 2020 - This rich and extracted Cab Franc / Petit Verdot blend needs a few hours to open up, but it's quite tasty - and unique - once it does. Inky red in color; full in body; aromas of blueberry, licorice, menthol, and peppercorn. Flavors of blackcurrant, sour cherry, anise, and graphite, with a silky finish that needs air to shed its inherent sweetness (a persistent issue, to me, with Jeff Ames' wines). Blend of 44% Cabernet Franc, 44% Petit Verdot, and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. 14.6% alcohol. 93-94 for now, with upside in 2022 or later. Still going strong on second day.

April 23, 2020 - Medium red color. Different blend type, but needed to be decanted due to sediment. Wine opened up nicely over that 30 minutes. Medium to deep red fruits, light floral hints and even a bit of graphite. Good solid bottle of wine

February 18, 2020 - Interesting blend of PV and CF primarily. Tor kept it smooth and luscious but still had good dried herb. Not a very complex wine despite the blend, but fun to nerd out on in terms of composition. Would give it a few years.

December 27, 2019 - PnP then decant for an hour. No notes. It was nice but didn’t wow me. Needs more time.

June 29, 2019 - For the price, and the WA review, I was disappointed. I usually enjoy Cab Franc heavy wines, so I was hoping for more from this. Great nose. Just disappointing on the palate. I sill liked it, but I have enjoyed TOR's Cabernet Sauvignons so much more.

April 30, 2018 - Tasting in Napa during Campovelo cycling; 4/27/2018-4/30/2018 (Napa, CA): Great middle. Great concentration of fruit and a bit powdery so will benefit from more age. Juicy, with lots of red and black fruit.

February 3, 2018 - Napa Valley Tastings; 2/3/2018-2/4/2018: Tasted at Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley.
A "flipped" Bordeaux blend, with 43%? cab franc and 43% petit verdot, and the remainder cab sauv and merlot I believe.
Great aromatics... but made me think of drinking tannic black tea. Not what I am looking for wine. Just odd. Chewy.
Needs time? Food wine? Pair with steak?
