March 1, 2024 - (Grenache Blanc und Clairette, 14% Alkohol) Reduktive Nase, tiefgründig, kühl, steinig, zitrische Noten, Feuerstein, Kräuter, rauchige Noten, auch deutlich Röstaromen, sehr komplex. Im Gaumen dicht, konzentriert, dennoch elegant, sehr saftig, gut strukturiert, der Wein zeigt Opulenz, hat Finesse, Rasse und Länge, zeigt ein salines Finish. Ein frischer, burgundisch anmutender Weisswein, der seine südliche Herkunft dennoch nicht versteckt. Top Reserven. Jetzt bis 2035
February 17, 2024 - Wowsers. Citrus, almonds. Powerful, charming and lingering. Just wow.
February 16, 2024 - Post EdShereen late night session at home. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of almond nut, citrus lemon oil, white peaches. Tokyo banana with more air. Has that bit of magical everything dust melange of crushed rocks, flowers, honey on creme brulee. Developing.
On the palate, dry, good high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of almond nuts, hazelnut, oily citrus lemon, white peaches, ripe guava, layer of supporting rocky stony minerality. Long finish.
Additional more exotic mango flavour on day 2+.
Excellent quality. Feels like oaked white Burgundy! Beautiful wine. Drinking well already and can still age.
Mainly Grenache Blanc, with Bourboulenc, Clairette, and Roussanne. On limestone soil.
February 2, 2024 - Decanted for a half-hour. Enjoyed with appetizers: baguette, soft cheeses, warm olives, paté, whitefish salad. A perfect, if complex, balance of sweet and savory. A really wonderful wine, made from mostly Grenache Blanc, and very much its own thing, but can easily hold its own with the top White Bordeaux Blends and many of the best Chardonnays.

September 22, 2023 - brought this as a back up to an blanc ex-voto that turned out to be spoiled - so glad I brought it. Lovely floral aromas and when tasted had flavors of firm melon and peach.
June 23, 2023 - Decanted for an hour. Seven diners on one bottle, the wine with dinner (salmon as the main) preceded by dry martini and apps. This is a wonderful wine, and all the diners were captivated by it. Beautiful structure, layers of flavor, including a very subtle earthiness that could be read as smokiness, but there is nothing hazy, murky, or muddy about this well-delineated wine, 80% Grenache Blanc with the balance Clairette and Roussane. We could all have easily done with a second bottle and left the table grinning, as we did after the first. A truly outstanding C9P Blanc.
May 15, 2023 - Drinking better than ever. Perhaps its because of the winemaker, but it does feel like a white corton charlemagne in the guise of a CdP. In any case, a wonderful white with smoke and mineral and depth of flavour to boot.
