October 3, 2020 - Sweet fruit, soft tannins, less acidity compared to most Halcon bottles.

October 2, 2020 - Strikingly floral tonight, which is not an experience I've ever had with PS before. Both my wife and I got it quite strongly. Tannins seem fully resolved and the wine is certainly singing at the moment, albeit in a somewhat unusual key.

April 29, 2020 - A sweeter rather than more savory PS. Dense fruit, tannins are nicely resolved. Dive in.

April 27, 2019 - Cranberries, tart cherry, anise, loads of black pepper. Surprisingly drinkable. I’ll give the next one six months.

October 25, 2017 - Fresh and drinkable with well managed tannins. Complex enough, but doesn't have the serious depth or length to justify the super high Dunnuck and Galloni scores IMO. Does have an unusual yellow peach flavor on the back palate that Dunnuck noted. That was a good call. An enjoyable and fairly priced wine.

July 4, 2017 - Anderson Valley, July 2: Aromas of tea leaf, allspice berry, cassis, damp earth and black cherry. Dense dark fruit notes on the palate with layered secondary depth. Medium to full body, nice elegance, broad firm tannins and solid depth. Rhone-ish style Petit Sirah- very nice.

June 5, 2017 - Dark color, but not the darkest possible. Chocolatey, darkly fruity smell. Tastes very fruity; full-bodied, with borderline hot alcohol notes. Very enjoyable.
