May 3, 2022 - Nicely aromatic. Tasty fruit well balanced by acidity. Rich for a 12.8% ABV wine. Not overly sweet. I also perceive a slightly creamy or smooth mouthfeel (not sure how to describe it).

September 2, 2020 - Red and black fruits, somewhat dark rather than light/floral/feminine. Some tannins, good acidity. Balanced, enjoyable either by itself or with food. Very good QPR.

August 2, 2020 - Garnet. Dark berry fruit and baking spice aromas. Well rounded and good depth to the fruit, black raspberry for me, some savory stuffing in the middle, and moderate length on a bright finish.

This gained a lot of interest for me since my last bottle in December 2019 (that was consumed from a red solo cup)!

July 28, 2020 - Textbook Anderson Valley PN, although more balanced and restrained than most. Red and black fruits, somewhat dark rather than light/floral. Some tannins, good acidity. Balanced, enjoyable either by itself or with food. Good QPR, as always with Halcon wines.

November 5, 2019 - Textbook Anderson Valley PN, although more balanced and restrained than most. Red and black fruits (more on the masculine and burly side of things, as opposed to feminine and floral), still assertive tannins, and good acidity. Prefer the Cerise bottling to the Wentzel, but still like the Wentzel fine. Should drink well for several more yrs (maybe thru 2025ish and likely a little bit longer in fact).

October 10, 2019 - Liked more than first bottle a few months ago. Good translucent ruby color.
Ripe red fruits, tiny bit of earthiness. Juicy acid. Great texture and persistence.

August 21, 2019 - Classic Anderson Valley Pinot, really good stuff. Lighter red color, red fruits (raspberry, strawberry), green herbs, and good acid. Glad I have more.

July 23, 2019 - Sweet for my taste. Light. Plum with tin of orange color in glass. Smells of berries and touch of wood. Drinkable.

June 7, 2019 - A lot of red berry fruit on entry. Then, some very surprising, and pleasant, spiciness. Surprising, to me, tannin (for a PN). Fairly light bodied, although with an aftertaste that does linger. A very pleasant and complex wine.
