February 9, 2011 - Family dinner (La Quercia, Vancouver): Strongly recommeded by the manager of La Quercia in Vancouver (great little restaurant btw) after I asked for "something different". It certainly did not disappoint. Complex and long. Some Burgundian characteristics. Got better with each pour. Must decant.

July 20, 2006 - This one is extrodinary. Period. Like no other wine I (or any of the other in our group, including two wine distributers) have ever tasetd. The color is pure red, clear and unflecked. The wine has a nose similar to that of a Chambertin, which captures red fruit and terrior all at once. The palate is pure intensity, revealing layers of red fruit and a core of firm, well integrated tannins. The wine could be drunk now, but it definately has the stuffing to age well. The sommelier that recommended the wine said he had drunk a 1970 or 1974 (can't remember) that was quite possibly the most lively aged wine he ever had. I wish I had cases of this stuff.
