April 16, 2024 - Concur on the cherry, old wood and leather. Rather dry. Still drinking well, but likely on the backside of its peak. Would drink by end of next year for those still with bottles. Properly cellared.

January 21, 2024 - Exceptional. The several extra years of age added to the complexity. This was wonderful with fruitiness and umami meatiness in balance with good acidity. Leatheriness and candied cherries etc etc.

October 16, 2022 - cheers - opened up very quickly....classic Rioja from an only-average vintage....Riojas are some of the best valued wines in the world.....I'd put this bottle up against lots of $75 + wines and this would win the challenge...love it

July 31, 2022 - 1st bottle from a 6 pack. Enjoyed with steak, potatoes, grilled asparagus and cauliflower.
Delicious, showing stewed black fruits alongside definite wet/earthy notes.
Moderate acidity with refined tannins and a moderately long finish. Drink through 2028+.

November 8, 2020 - Beautiful, in its prime ripe jammy fruits jams with a thou rather and mold

Balanced on the mouth, if a bit dried

September 28, 2020 - Just as Neecies said, there was a clear odor of oxidation when the bottle was first opened, but the wine itself was fresh. Paradoxically, a quick splash in the decanter got rid of the oxidation and the wine itself was lovely, still young and fresh but a nice example of LdH's winemaking.
