  June 28, 2017 - Distinctly orange colour, head to rust; rather chunky, blunt nose, cheddar cheese rind; foursquare, sweet, fat, clumsy. Lacks any refinement, some power. Best drunk soon.

  June 4, 2016 - A fine Sauternes deep orange colour (a Sauternes is ready to drink when it turns from yellow to orange) and flavours of candied orange, apricot, and orange zest. $30 for the half bottle, so this is quite a treat.

  May 18, 2013 - Sauternes 2010 (and reference vintages) at Le Week-end des Grand Crus (Bordeaux): Nose: spice, honey (heather honey), dried apricots, discrete development with some notes of solvent.
  Palate: honey, spice, botrytis, dried fruit, apricots, some citrus, good acidity.
  Summary: 91 p.

  April 22, 2009 - Bibendum Bordeaux tasting (Lord's Cricket Ground - London): Honeyed tones, marmalade and great acidity. Good substance, however compared to the other Sauternes on show here, not quite as focused and maybe loses a bit of structure.

  January 22, 2007 - Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2004 Tasting (The Drake): Full yellow color. Subdued lemon oil yellow fruit nose. Quite sweet and round on the palate with some spice.
