June 27, 2014 - Friend shared this teenager with me -- on the downhill, but what a fun ride down the slide! Nose had pinot typicity, with a bit of meat to it -- but once it hit the palate it was a whole 'nother ride altogether, with a lot less typicity -- thick and almost Rhone-like. Still had plummy fruit to it, but with some reduction, and a total absence of tannins.
October 8, 2011 - Drank in 2011. Was worried too late but it was superb.
July 26, 2011 - After all these years this wine stood up, it past its prime but if you still have a bottle in your cellar its drinkable and while subtle it still had a good aroma and spice on the nose.
February 3, 2009 - still drinking fabulously, rich dark plum and raspberry notes
would bet this bottle is good for a few more years
April 4, 2008 - Acid and a hint of metallic flavors dominate the palate and finish; after 24 hours little sign of oxidation but acid still overwhelms the fruit.
February 4, 2008 - Much better fruit in this bottle to balance the acidity nicely. Full and rich on the pallet
January 4, 2008 - Very acidic with little fruit. Cloudy color. Disappointing.
September 30, 2007 - Disappointing. Not a very good showing. Grrr.
January 5, 2007 - It was good - very fruit forward at first then opened up to have a little more balance. Not a blockbuster but nice.
May 8, 2004 - Brian’s: Intense nose of bright cherry, raspberry, a little light spice; med.- body; bright a’s in mouth, great vivascous character. Very good Pinot.
