  July 8, 2023 - Dark blue/purple fruit, very gamey with a touch of a smokiness. Consistent with prior notes, this has progressed nicely with lots of life still ahead.

  March 26, 2023 - 1 hour decant during march madness on Elle's bday.
  Murky deep garnet with medium+ meniscus and high viscosity.
  Lovely Rocks nose. black cherry, currant, plum and blackberry. Palate more plum and black currant.
  Bramble, smoked meats, baking spice and coffee. Meat on finish as the bramble fades.
  Body med+ - just a bit thinner than I remembered. High complexity, long finish. Can still feel bit of texture in the med+ tannins.
  Probably just a bit past peak.

  February 12, 2023 - See review of 2013 The Beautiful. I misidentified the vintage when I reviewed that one. It was actually the 2014. Gorgeous, silky smooth and floral/smoky/mineraly/tapenade. With serious floral notes. Deliciious.

  November 5, 2021 - Blue and black fruit combine with beef blood, olive tapenade notes and iodine. This northern Rhône look alike is firing on all cylinders. Great depth and texture. The aromatics awaken the senses. This wine is in a great drinking window with a good five to seven years left in the bottle. Good juice.
