March 19, 2021 - Tasted over 3 days. Very good clarity, a few bubbles on Day 3. Ruby to rosy to light pink rim consistent with age. Medium to medium + legs. Aromas are dark fruit dominant and subtle: black currant, blackberry, fig (maybe prune, too). A tiny bit of dust and blueberry as the wine evolved. On the palate, dark fruits are joined by vanilla, eucalyptus, and, as evolved, dust and spearmint. Texture is smooth yet narrow. Medium to medium + acidity, medium finish. Interesting that wine seems acidic but not really tart. And as wine evolved tannins became more fruity than wood. Overall impression: subtle and shy but interesting. Not quite varietally correct, and at $23 QPR well below average. Drink now.
