March 17, 2023 - Beautiful nose with lots of red fruit, subtle spices, licorice, cherries, and a hint of VA. Good acidity and we’ll balanced flavors with slightly riper red fruit notes, more cherries, darker fruit, and some forest notes on the palate. Long finish. Really lovely, Metras kills it in warmer vintages!

September 6, 2022 - Lots of ripe, dark fruit - ripe plums, very ripe, black cherries, intense, and pretty full bodied. It initially seemed to be showing too much of the hot vintage for my liking, but with some air the acidity shone through and the fat / 'gras' mouthfeel became better balanced. A pretty serious bottle of Fleurie, not without its charms, but all rather on the solar side of things....I'd love to try a 2014 or 2016
