March 26, 2019 - Excellent value -- lovely big Barbera fruit nose. Palate is busting fruit along with good acid. Works great with the meats and salami and cheese we had with it.

August 17, 2018 - Needs air but has a lovely trajectory. Starts velvety, inishes with a cleaning wash of acidic cherry. Very Good+.

April 3, 2018 - Sour cherry, dust, cinnamon....gets more integrated with air. Agree with others...I’ve had better barbera d’alba at lower price points....so not a relatively good value at $26

February 3, 2018 - Best value in the Giacosa lineup. Solid. Fruit packed. Some tannin. Loved it.

February 2, 2018 - Had at a wine dinner as part of the Triangle Wine Experience in Raleigh.

Bright red, delicious red fruit, juicy, cherry, with an aromatic nose. Moderate intensity. Nicely done overall.
