September 9, 2019 - Way to young to appreciate
was off, to young or a bad bottle

August 19, 2019 - The 2014 Silex is clean and linear but appeared monolithic standing next to Comte Lafon Meursault. Freshly waxed pear fruit with sweet white fruits and smoked cigar barrel. I always find Silex performs best between 10-20 years old, too young they can appear too simple / ‘synthetic’, and too old they lose the fruits and tension. Give this 2014 more cellaring and it should improve. (87/100)

    August 12, 2019 - Good ... very good ... excellent ... exquisite ... but more to come !

+ Nose : asparagus, lemon peel wax, vanilla, stone fruit, vegetal, grassy
+ Taste : nicely acidic, bit underperforming, slightly greasy, creamy
+ Finish : very long, extremely long, quite mineral, waxy, impressive

We agreed a great wine in the making, just needs more time to open up in the pallet.

July 12, 2019 - Young but I bought way too much in France I can’t bring back So opening things with friends before we leave. Went across a bunch of pizzas in southern France. Opened and initially got smacked with charred bell pepper - decanted but didn’t last longer than an hour so not sure how much would blow off but it did start to develop a bit more citrus and orchard fruit. Sharp acidity that takes a second to hit - apricot, white pepper, lemon zest, yellow raspberry.
