May 11, 2020 - A decent unoaky bottle with good QPR. A bit of peach, a bit of vanilla. Nothing fancy but pleasant.

February 11, 2020 - Another great bottle, this wine is in a perfect place right now. It shows lots of youth, vigor and tension, with white fruits, a hint of citrus, good acid underpinnings, structure, and a very nice mineral finish. It has just enough oak to give it a nice Burgundy character and bite, but everything here is in balance. Excellent QPR.

November 28, 2018 - My second bottle. Dropping my rating two points because it is much more muted than the first. Peach, melon, tropical fruits, but light; only a hint of oak, the alcohol also seems moderate. It has the balance, integration and QPR that I have always loved about this wine, yet this bottle lacks that extra bit of verve that I have come to expect from this Tally bottling.

June 25, 2018 - This is usually one of my favorite California Chardonnays because of its great QPR and the balance that it shows sitting where it does along the Chardonnay style spectrum: medium bodied, moderately oaked, versatile. Proponents of no-oak and heavy oak will each reject it, but I find it just right in most years - at this price point.

Sure enough, 2014 hits the sweet spot. Decanted, it opened up over 30-45 minutes. This has an excellent fragrance profile, with citrus, pear, apple and fruit blossoms, with those same flavors shining through; excellent acid backbone, with a long finish, hints of iodine and minerals. Classic "bite" at the back of the throat. Not an overbearing wine, but big enough, it is smooth, balanced and stays lip-smacking long into the meal.

March 14, 2018 - Just ok. Not much to it
