January 1, 2021 - This wine has aged well and become livelier and stone and citrus fruited since my last bottle. Really nice chardonnay that had a lot of great qualities -- nicely pure fruit flavors, some creaminess without tasting oaky and bright mouthfeel without any butter. Good freshness and lively finish! Loved it! Not sure where this will go in the future and recommend drinking up.

    September 3, 2020 - Lemon rind,
Rich yet balanced acidity. A big chardonnay.
Very long finish with a good amount of complexity. An excellent chardonnay for the price!

August 26, 2020 - It’s been 3 years since last bottle, checking in. Still has lots of verve and full fruit enjoyment. Plenty of rich/lush pineapple, green apple and lemon lime, has taken on slightly deeper gold color, more prominent straw and yeasty nose. This is structured and acidic (in good way) versus creamy butter bomb. Very good QPR, has several more years left. Drink now and savor over a few hours, or cellar confidently.

February 4, 2018 - Napa Valley Tastings; 2/3/2018-2/4/2018: Tasted at the Envy tasting room, in the back (which is where Carter has their tastings).
No malolactic, 40% new French oak, balanced!
Crisp, mineral, citrus, spice. Long finish.
Could age but why wait! Drink 2017-2020.

January 15, 2018 - Straw gold color. 14.5%. The wine improves significantly with air. I first enjoyed it at Envy in Calistoga where I just thought it was killer. Drinking in isolation like tonight strongly influences my impression. The nose is deep and screams Napa to me— I get eucalyptus up front. Honey and grilled pineapple shine through the midpalate. It has a weighty viscosity without any butter notes. Finish is a little pithy opening but gets better as the glass goes on. Enjoyable for me in a different way in that it’s far more tropical than I remember

January 11, 2018 - Winorama: A winter in Wineland II; 1/6/2018-1/14/2018 (Portland, Eureka, Napa): Tasted at the winery. Same caveat that I really don't like Chardonnay. Did appreciate though that it's from more cool weather sites. Very crisp with a fair amount of lemon flavor (not the sour part) . Touch of honey. Some acidity. For the price point and if you did like chard quite a nice wine, but still not my cup of tea.
