December 31, 2015 - Excellent balance for a predominantly Tempranillo blend. Took some time to open up, perhaps 40 minutes or so, but very enjoyable even w/o food or snacks. Definitely needs to be drunk within 2016 at latest.

January 28, 2015 - Way above its pay grade. Takes 45 minutes to an hour to open up. Heady bouquet leading to flavors of spice and dark fruit but still an little graphite, leather and oak lying on the bottom. Made my wife's stuffed peppers something special. She agreed.

June 27, 2014 - - Garnet color. It's in total harmony and has flavours of raisin and cedar with a medium body. Satin-Like texture with a medium finish.

February 17, 2014 - A very nice wine for the price. Strong vanilla and minerals. A hint of tart berries. Slightly hot. More complexity than most wines in this price range.

February 3, 2013 - A night of Spanish wines (mostly RdD) (Scott and Jo's): Not quite RdD but pretty close. I hadn't had this wine in a few vintages, but it always used to be a great value. The nose is dusty with some cherries and a bit of plums. On the palate, this is youthful but not showing much development. Still a tasty wine with good acidity that worked with the food.

October 30, 2012 - Drinking pretty good now. Similar to a year ago but the tannins are now silky. Give it an hour or two of air. Expressive nose of dark fruit, herbs, oak and leather. Complex initial taste and bright acidity

August 12, 2012 - PSPatrick says it very well. Agree completely. I give it an extra point based on second day's impression. Full-bodied, lithe, and lovely.

July 25, 2012 - We decanted the wine for 45 minutes before we poured the first glass. It offered a nice nose with some floral notes, ripe strawberry, dark cherry, currant, blueberry, blackberry, a bacon component, mild spices, cinnamon, white pepper, chocolate and some liquorice. On the palate the medium-bodied wine was juicy and very round, with red fruits, some blackberry, some spices, mild liquorice and sweet vanilla, paired with good acidity, ripe tannins and a creamy mouthfeel. The fruit-driven wine was accessible and easy drinking. Not the most complex wine, but quite enjoyable. 88+
