April 7, 2019 - Redguy's note hit it spot on for me. Dark and extracted. Has the goods, but it is still too early. Give it some more time.

April 19, 2018 - Dark and extracted. Thought this might be softer with the 40% grenache, but no, it's very 2014 in its concentration. This needs a few years to soften. Lots of great material here.

March 16, 2018 - Decanted 2 hrs. Nose of big dark fruits. Big, consistent tastes of dark fruits & dark cherries. Nice mouth feel.

August 1, 2017 - Nick has done another beautiful job. The combination of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache is magic on the tongue. This is a pretty big wine with 15.7% alcohol, but there's only a slight heat on the backend. Even though Syrah outweighs the Grenache in this blend, for me the later comes to the forefront in both the nose and palate. The Syrah brings in nice peppery notes to add intrigue to the cranberry preserves, blackberries, vanilla bean and cream brûlée. Very nice mid-palate texture and long smooth finish.
