August 5, 2017 - If you are looking for cellar worthy, fine, savoury, beguiling Pinot Noir then this is not for you.

It's a very good wine, in it's way, but this is flashy souped up stuff. Loads of cloves and spice. Sweetness, alcohol (15%), plenty of fine oak flavour and influence, quite a degree of softening oxidation - the wine is browning already. This is a wine reflects its winemaking first and foremost, terroir/vineyard not so much.

    A crowd pleaser. Drink now.

Crazy price (only 600 bottles made), but it fits with the image of the wine. Bling baby.

October 9, 2016 - Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): Savoury cherry, spice, slight stalks, cream, all of the elements are prettily combined though. And there is more of this on the palate with sufficient acidity to keep it fresh and pleasant. Okay to good.
