July 12, 2010 - Aged well, mellowed put but still had good fruit and backbone to pair with BBQ

July 9, 2010 - Dark red color, full of fruit with nice bouquet. High alcohol and a bit of acidity but long on the tongue & drank well. Have 2 bottles left & need to drink fairly soon! I'm a big fan of Silverado wines and I will be buying more!

May 3, 2008 - Food Pairing: coffee-crusted beef tenderloin. Nose: Bright big fruit with lots of cherry and rasberry. Hint of vanilla and chocolate. Mouth: A true fruit bomb in the mouth with lots of different fruity flavors and little spice or pepper. Very ripe tasting grapes from a good sunny year in Napa ('04). Finish was somewhat quick and without great complexity, which is what holds the wine back from a 92+. With such a medium bodied Zin, I expect it could pair well with many foods. Ready to drink now ('08).

December 13, 2007 - Not an altogether unpleasant wine, but definitely lacking in complexity and depth. The berries are there, they just smell and taste as though they've been diluted. Salud!

July 27, 2007 - Dark color, medium bodied, not very spicy, nice berry fruit flavors, a hint of chocolate. Nothing spectacular, but a perfect mid week wine. Great wine for the price.

April 3, 2007 - A little brett on the nose. Not a lot of concentrated flavors. Doesn't have the spiciness of an outstanding zin.
