Sweet lemon barley, peach, saline. Agree with previous comments of pepper and ginger in there too. Medium weight, with a fine acid line keeping it fairly taut and long on the palate. Drink or hold.

Supper savoury nose with time in decanter. Then that perky lime. Lemon drops, white pepper, lean as helll, Granny Smith malic acid sizzles. Mealy, ginger biscuits provide texture to soak up the juicy acidity. Long, fresh and crunchy. A wine of two halves, savoury and lean. Drink in 3 to 5. 94

November 17, 2020 - Amazingly good Aussie chardonnay, easily the best white I have seen come out of Tasmania, and would rival good vintages of Australia's premier white wine, LEAS.
The only disappointing aspect of this lovely wine is that the winery have not, thus far, been able to produce another vintage that comes even close to the 2015.
Seek it out and buy it. Marvellous. Plenty of time in it's tank.

July 14, 2020 - still an infant, screwcap closure will ensure another decade of development.
This will be something special from 2025 onwards.

    April 5, 2020 - 2015 Holyman Chardonnay
Light weight, lean pithy lemon, classy spicey oak, with touches of honey and toast developing through the finish. Still light yellow in colour. Drink just a smidge below room temperature to gain weight or colder to reveal I it’s lemon barley and grassy character- had me in mind of Hunter Semillon if it were not for spicy oak and sulphides. Delicious now. 4.25/5 94 points.

February 12, 2020 - White peach, river pebbles, lemon. Palate is precise, with balance and intensity in spades. Mineral. Long. Touch of salinity. Just as good on day 2.

April 28, 2019 - If anything, this has filled out marginally since my last bottle but everything else holds true from my last note. Amazing precision and clarity of flavour, such a beautifully textured palate, great drive and length. Unreal.

June 4, 2018 - light talc across grapefruit and sweet lemon on crushed quartz. tiptoeing across the palate assured, confident. Gentle caramel popcorn, white flowers with a flurry of lemon pith and lovely acid flow. Wow. French burg? No. Tasmania. Benchmark. Wonderful.
