July 11, 2022 - what a difference the pairing made: spicy Asian food made this slightly bitter IPA/kombucha-like wine taste delicious after I was struggling with the first bottle and poured some out. Totally converted to a fan. Pink grapefruit rind, peach, papaya, rooibos tea, very long mineral finish. Hooked. Served very cold PnP and it got better as it approached cellar temp. 13% abv. This aged very well and could have gone another couple years. Buying more now especially for spicy meals that are so challenging to pair.

January 27, 2019 - Aromas of dry heath, aromatic plums, chocolate, and tar, with a slight tang of hot metal. Dry fruit on the palate with integrated tannins and slightly prickly acids at the back moving into a ringing clear fruit finish. Nice layering of richness and lightness. 50 1= 16 + 16 + 9 = 91.

October 14, 2018 - Wine Tasting Group - Natural Wines - Oct 14, 2018 (Katie Aspen's Home): Pinot Gris from Wurttemburg, Germany. Made with skin contact and extended lees contact (1 year). Cloudy yellow orange. Aromas of apples, cider, mild salty sea spray, and a hint of balsamic vinegar. Palate is similar with apples, beeswax, herbs, hint of balsamic, with a mildly salty and tannic finish. Not for everyone at the table but I always enjoy this wine.
