January 14, 2023 - I think this wine is drinking at its peak.
January 6, 2023 - My last bottle of this vintage and still drinking nicely. I'm not sure the age is enhancing enjoyment dramatically, but there is a smoothness and integration and perhaps less apparent acidity that is different. This still has lovely fruit and Zin spicy bramble. A joy to drink with spicy pizza.
November 23, 2022 - Deep garnet. Soft, fruity with balancing acidity. A long finish and definitely has the wow factor.
July 4, 2022 - Pleasant bottle. Very light flavor, not like a standard Zin. Smooth.
January 9, 2022 - blackberry pepper oak vanilla plum. Incredibly smooth and well balanced. Minimal tannins.
November 22, 2021 - Best after 2 hr decant
August 4, 2021 - From a half. Such consistency and value from Seghesio.
May 29, 2021 - Ok. Flavor is a little flat. A little dull. Not bad, just nothing special.
May 18, 2021 - Overly jammy. Zippy acidity, a little briary. Red fruit, a little licorice, low tannin structure.
March 8, 2021 - This is what we said a year ago. It is even better now!
"Full nose with black-and-blue fruits and earthiness.
The palate follows the nose with a smooth delicious full mouthfeel , again blackberries and blueberries and a strong hint of earthiness with a very delicious and long finish. It was absolute perfection with" spinach ricotta Tortellini pasta, broccolini and Alfredo sauce with a drizzle of pesto snd sprinkle of parmesan.
3/10/21 - Absolutely delightful with a "sheetpan: dinner" of chicken beasts, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, sliced potatoes and parsnips, and brussel sprouts halved and drizzled with 25 year balsamic vinegar OMG!
