December 3, 2023 - Totally brambly and organic on the nose. Black plum and dark berry fruit galore on the palate. Additional notes of mushroom, coffee, tobacco and dried herbs. Beautifully balanced, long finish and incredibly soft tannins. Excellent!!

October 29, 2023 - Another great showing! Perhaps a bit toned down in comparison to the last bottle we had two years ago, and a bit smoother and ready to go more or less immediately (we did not decant). It did put on some weight with 1-2 hours of air, and delivered a very refined and large-scaled wine showcasing bright red fruits, violet, game, cocoa, and a touch of tobacco, followed by a long finish.

September 3, 2023 - Whoa, so good. Meaty, blueberry with garrigue. Smooth and well integrated vino. Just lovely.

March 2, 2023 - Had some of the other K Syrah's which were always very good but short of greatness, The exception for me is Hidden Northridge Vineyard, which is. Just outstanding. Smooth, integrated and powerful.

February 10, 2023 - Aromas of dark fruit and dried fowers. Cooked blackberry, dried thyme and oregano flavors. Finishes with fresh black cherry and smooth tannins

Full Pull The Deal, The Hidden, And The Klein, 9/10/2017

(K Vintners Syrah The Hidden) Hello friends. We have small parcels of a trio of rarities from K Vintners’ (or Wines of Substance, as it seems the umbrella company will now be called) recent set of autumn releases. Our K/Substance offers are always feeding frenzies, so let me offer two quick notes: 1. To the best of my knowledge, we have retail dibs on all three of these wines west of the mountains. 2. I suspect we’ll have to under-allocate here, given the parcel sizes, so a quick reminder of our allocation technique: Our allocations favor breadth over depth, so that everyone gets one bottle before anyone gets two. And our formula for prioritizing allocations includes overall orders, frequency of orders, recency of orders, and list tenure, among other factors. Now, onto the wines: Wine Advocate: Copyrighted material withheld. [Quick context note: we've offered exactly two previous 99pt Advocate wines in Full Pull’s entire existence. One was just a month ago: Sheridan’s 2014 Block 1 Cab; the other six years ago: K Vintners’ 2008 Royal City Syrah. Both were north of $100.] This is 100% Northridge Vineyard Syrah, a wild, special site on the Wahluke Slope, and a rarity because it sits above the Missoula floodline at elevations of 1100’. This means that instead of flood soils, Northridge sits on a thin layer of ancient soils above a base of caliche and basalt. The wine was aged all in large puncheons (60% new) after 48 days on skins and 100% whole cluster/100% native yeast fermentation. Listed alc is 15.0%. Winery notes: The heart of darkness. Layers upon layers of black tea, plum, blackberry and warm sand. All together firm yet yielding with depth that has no bottom. WOW!
