Community Tasting Notes 3

January 3, 2020 - Pretty consistent notes with my last bottle. This is a good bottle of wine for the price.

It's like medium/dark matte ruby color. Nose of some bright red fruit and an underlying mushroom/savory note. Opens after 10 minutes in the glass, with the mushroom and earth becoming more prominent.

Medium plus weight on the palate. Red fruit that smacks of wild field strawberry and red cherry. Pretty well put together structurally. Little short on the finish, which is a tad chalky, and not going to wow you with complexity but good - a well made wine. Good value here. And has some time ahead of it still.

March 9, 2019 - Light ruby. Enticing mix of red fruit and woodsy herb and earthy notes on the nose. Very expressive. Palate is medium-bodied, and quite generous and has a lot of cherry fruit, leaning a little bit darker, juicy strawberry, slight bitter mid-palate. I get some oak too. Very juicy and vibrant. Nice value. Better on night 1, was a little tired on night 2.

November 27, 2017 - Twist and pour and tasted with some assorted cheese.
Dark ruby color. Nose offers spice, some red berries and herbs.
Good acidity on the intro with flavors of wild strawberries, raspberries and a hint of tart cranberry. Some brown spice elements as well. Shows an earthy element on the finish.
This was better on its own. When paired with sharp cheese, it made the wine taste metallic and too acidic.
