April 8, 2024 - Complex nose of cherry, earth, chalky minerals and something pine like. Feathery light weight mouth. Elegant finish with loads of grape based tannins. Less spice than in other vintages, which helps to give this an elegance as well. Excellent!

March 22, 2024 - Stood up for several days and decanted off fine sediment. Now 1.5h after decant. Nice aromas of balsamic vinegar, red cherries, and some bark. Palate w nice melange of red cherries, bark, brown stems, and a hint of balsamic vinegar. Medium body w excellent acids and mild tannins. Nice finish of ripe black cherries, bark, brown stems and a hint of balsamic vinegar. So uniquely E&M. Bright w nice savory notes. Delicious with some complexity. 91+.

March 2, 2024 - Final of 6 bottles, last consumed this wine about 9 mos prior.
Lovely freshness for this 9 yr old PN, showing off tart red cherries, spicy cinnamon and perhaps a hint of an alpiny/clove note.
There is really solid acidity to further support the tart fruits, and an obvious earthiness on the long and refreshing finish.
Drink through 2025+, just delicious. -

November 24, 2023 - Popped and poured, deep ruby. Cherry fruits, sous bois, autumnal vegetation and a touch of spice from oak on the nose. Beautifully balanced, flavors on the palate largely mirror the nose w/impressions of spice-laden, saline minerals and savory spice-fruit even more pronounced; somewhat chewy, astringent tannins accentuate the close. Profound wine, so indicative of the pedigree in terms of both producer/QPR.

June 10, 2023 - Penultimate of 6 bottles, last had a bottle 1.5 yrs ago.
Lovely tawny rim, with aromas of dusty concrete, plum skin, tart red cherries, cinnamon spice, and a hint of alpine freshness (pine needle?).
On the palate, surprisingly med in body (I was expecting lighter), with cherry cough syrup, plums and red cherries, cola, a hint of tobacco leaf, then leads into some nicely rounding tannins, firm acid spine, and a relatively long and fruit+spicy finish.
Drink this through EOY to preserve this pretty drinking plateau. Lovely, really nice.
