January 29, 2023 - This bottle really disappointed, after high hopes from my first couple bottles a few years ago. There is still a feral, meaty note here that comes across on the nose and briefly on the palate. Unfortunately, nothing much else develops - a bit musty/mousy, and a short drying finish.
Maybe a bad bottle? But my experience was similar to many of the more recent reviews. -

October 9, 2020 - Friday night at home. Drank over 1.5 hours. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance deep intensity, purple colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of natural wine whole bunch light funk, herbal green and black olives, vegetables, black pepper, purple boysenberries. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.8%), coarse leathery high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black pepper spice, blackberries, purple boysenberries, herbal green and black olives, vegetals, sweet spice. Medium+ finish.
Quite obviously a natural made Syrah. Varietal expresson yes, but not much terroir expression to speak of. Not an easy drink or a style I enjoy anymore...
Will re-taste again tonight and see if there is any evolution - smoother texture and less natural elements. But still nothing really exciting going on. -

March 31, 2019 - A bit one dimensional. Purplish fruit, some herb and lavender but fairly opaque. Not heavy. 10% whole cluster, fermented in concrete before aging in oak and concrete. A nice wine, but nothing exceptional.

November 20, 2018 - Not much change from a year ago. Young/inelegant, but characterful and delicious. Best on day 2 (refrigerated and brought back to temp).
