    Note : 15,5/20 soit 88/100

March 1, 2018 - This is nice dolcetto, a bit better on day 3 than day 1. In addition to some dark fruit, there’s a faint liqueur note on the nose, as well as some slightly rustic aromatics. On the palate blackberry predominates, along with something a bit bark-like. Medium-bodied with plenty of snap from ample acidity. The fruit is ripe, but in no way over-ripe. Very faint bitterness in the tannins. Overall, quite good.

February 2, 2017 - A Seminar on G.B. Burlotto with Winemaker Fabio Alessandria (Manhattan Wine Company (New York, NY)): 60% whole cluster. Perfumed and fresh with bright berries, raspberry, flowers, spice. Light and alive. The palate shows bright fruit, some sweetness, but also a bitterness at this point. Very clear. Some tar, smoke. Finish is bitter, blue fruits, chocolate. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 4/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14.5/20.

January 5, 2017 - Delicious. A fan of Burlotto's other wines but first time with his Dolcetto. Lovely balance and transparency here, grippy tart blackberry juice, with dried cherries and earthy finish. Just a touch of grapefruit pith like in good beaujolais. Whole clusters shows wonderfully. One of the best Dolcettos I've had and a steal at $17-18.
