January 26, 2020 - Cassis, plum, dark chocolate, smoke. Medium acidity, medium+ tannins. Tannins are a bit green and drying. Alcohol also noticeable and not integrated. Overall it falls short of what I expected.

August 18, 2018 - Bursting with fruit. Possibly too much so and no restriainng acidity or tannins to balance the intense cassis.

April 7, 2018 - Deep dark red. Crushed black berries, vanilla, chocolate, cassis, green bell pepper and some dusty gravel. Forward black fruits, almost cooked, notable tannins, concentrated, full and long. As others remark this is not quite an 96p effort. But it is good, nice balanced and a great qpr.

April 23, 2017 - I gifted this first bottle of my case and was pleased that my host kindly opened it to accompany our roast lamb dinner, This wine was rated number 1 in Decanter magazine's recent top 50 cabernets of the new world. But if you open and pour it then you are going to be underwhelmed. Why? Because it is far too young to drink now. It's probably going to be great in 8 to 10 years time. We left our bottle for about 3 hours in a Decanter and it just started to open up to show its future potential. So I shall certainly plan to drink my case over a long period of time, there is really no hurry. Yes, it's a nice wine, a typically full bodied South Australian cabernet. So let's hope that Decanter is right and this really will be a top new world cabernet in the future.
