Community Tasting Notes 11

January 23, 2019 - Hard to pin this down tonight. It seems closed and dense, even with the bottle being open 2.5 hours at this point. The nose retains a lot of interest but the palate is less expressive.

November 24, 2016 - Wow. With large Thanksgiving meal, so no notes taken, but I was surprised at how vibrant this still was, fully ripened fruit, little hint of aged character, nice acid. This is drinking well and appears to have years ahead of it.

November 8, 2016 - Tasty, smoothed out, nicely evolved. Lots of earth and dirt, plus cherries. In a nice spot for sure.

May 10, 2016 - This really is delicious
After 30 minutes it opens up and all is in balance
    A real bargain

May 3, 2016 - 30 min. decant to start. Unlike many of the older wines, this shows the vintage considerably, darker, more fruit and initially less of the green leaf tobacco note so much a part of his older wines. Some tannins are still remaining as this, while lush is not tame yet. Lovely wine.
