February 3, 2024 - This bottle tonight was nothing like I remembered from the last time I tasted it 3 years ago. While the tropical notes of pineapple and ripe fruit were still present, this bottle was much more honeyed and round and lacked the acidity and cut that I experienced last time I opened one of these. Forgetting about my previous experience, I would have certainly expected more acidity and precision from Coche in a vintage like 14'. Bottle variation, I assume? Or is this 14' slipping a bit? Hard to say.

January 13, 2024 - Showing well; lemony, match stick, slightly nutty, full and creamy - but not really exciting, not really head-turning. A lovely drink with dinner but not clearly more.

I thought it is not Meursault and quality wise PC to GC. Very special nose. A friend of mine recognized the domaine and vintage. Lovely balanced and concentration. 96

January 7, 2023 - Disappointing bottle which did not come around. Decanted 3 hrs before a lunch and then tried again leftovers the evening but stayed flat and lacked complexity. Normally 2014 should be a great year for this wine but this time it did not deliver. Probably an off bottle.

August 2, 2022 - Already completely brilliant and I have zero issue drinking this right now. Reduced, subtle smoke, glorious golden fruit, a little bit of that blue cotton candy. Mouth coating, oily texture. Balanced ripe fruit and acid. Long. Complete. Terrific.

June 24, 2022 - PNP into Zalto White Burgundy glass (even wider and more shallow than Zalto Burgundy glass, “Fruit” day): Medium golden to the eyes.

Top Jura like minerality driven, oxidative notes and superb lean and energetic for my glass but the glass for others are clearly different with more butterscotch and menthol and minty spices notes.

Interesting second tasting of the same wine in consecutive days. 95 points easy.

With time more salt preserved citrus peels.

June 23, 2022 - PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Fruit” day): Medium bright golden to the eyes.

Superbly rich and luxurious citrus fruits like grapefruits with peels, extremely complex yet so elegant. Smoke, floral, earthy almost. Butter and almost popcorn notes. Menthol and minty spices notes too. White peppery and subtle oxidative notes. Ultra complex nose.

Light-footed, pure rock like minerality and perfect acidity, complex fruits and endless finish.

Effortless wine here. 96 points easy. Probably the single best white I ever tasted this year so far. Wow!

May 25, 2022 - First Coche-Dury white; had at a restaurant and this was really quite impressive. I'm always concerned these benchmark producers may be a let down, but this was definitely not. The intensity on the nose was incredible; lemon zest, ripe apple, pear, crushed stone, a whiff of gun flint, just a hint of sweet spice and floral notes. With air the apple and pear became more prominent and the floral and spice were more evident. The palate had incredible intensity with lemon peel and minerals as the main drivers. The concentration and depth were excellent for a village level wine. At times over 2 hours the orchard fruits were a bit more prominent, but this always seemed primarily driven by citrus and stone. The finish was incredible with a lingering lemon peel, saline, and stone note that lasted a good minute after the sip. Glad to have tried this. Sadly not sure I can afford much more at the current tariff, but I'd love to try more. If the village stuff is this good I can only imagine the 1er crus etc are spell binding.
