November 23, 2018 - 57% Viognier, 36% Marsanne, 4% Albarino, 3% Petit Manseng. From memory. PnP. Mildly cloudy straw yellow. Nicely aromatic with flowers, peach, pears, some citrus. On palate, nice combination of meyer lemon, peaches, pears, more flowers. As the wine warms, a nice saline note adds to the finish. Lively mouthfeel from excellent acids. Delicious but also really interesting.

September 10, 2018 - MNB: Lees Aging (Home (Noe st)): (blind)
Medium straw - hint of color. Cloudy.
Super familiar nose I can't place. Peach and fresh apricot. Underripe nectarine. Aromatic - medium plus intensity. Semi-terpenic - quite aromatic. Slight reduction and slight hint of development - sort of a savory nectarine-oil quality. I didn't get overt lees impact. No new oak - probably the development and integration hints at some neutral oak and bottle age. Yeasty cidery thing - some oxidation and some lees impact?
Dry, medium body, 12.5% alcohol, medium plus acid, medium minus phenolic bitterness.
Extended finish of nectarine pith and grapefruit pith.
This is awesome - well-balanced and aromatic.
Semi-terpenic-to-floral:
- Federspiel Gruner - missing the vegetal aromatics.
- Viognier - structure is too high in acid, low in alcohol, and has no oak.
- AlbariƱo - good quality - not val do salnes
$30. 2016.
13.2% alcohol
10 months on lees in plastic tanks. Low sulfur (15 parts).
Viognier 57%, marsanne 36%, 4% albarino, 3% petit manseng.
Explains why this isn't as aromatic as viognier and isn't as phenolic.
Whole cluster pressed (not lots of skin contact).
This is super good! -

June 3, 2017 - Nice liveliness in a sweet, even tropical, frame. A rhone blend without the viscosity getting in the way. Not simple or easy, but worth the little effort of getting to know. Day three in the fridge, a soft pineapple remains as other notes fade.

April 10, 2017 - Very floral, roses and peach on the nose. bright acidity, peach, nectarine, green apple, really easy to drink, surprisingly full mouth feel once it warms up a little.
