January 13, 2019 - Dark fruit. Plum, blackberry, some cacao, red and black liquorice. Tannin a little bit softer for a Wendouree but still enough of it there. More of a rounded mouthfeel. Give it air and red meat.

April 28, 2018 - Lovely nose of alpine herbs and red fruits. Beautifully balanced wine. Dark purple in colour. Juicy plums, some red fruits, nougat, mint, subtle pepper and spices, aniseed, and a lovely sheen of vanilla overlaying what is a polished, medium-to-full bodied wine. A highly-pitched acid spine balances the rich fruit. Fine grippy tannins and a very long finish. This will only improve over 10+ years, but it’s drinking superbly now with a long decant.

November 19, 2017 - black and red cherry fruit, cranberry sours, menthol lift, red flowers across aniseed with grippy light stemmy tannin and a smooth and long finish.

August 19, 2017 - Opaque purple-black with deep crimson hues. Fresh uplifting nose of juicy blackberries, mulberries, and plums coming through from the Malbec, together with freshly cut thyme and mint. On the palate there is racy acidity (perhaps a little too sharp at first) however after 12 hours decant (yes you read that correctly!) the wine has evolved into a beautiful elegant wine. Built for the ages.

July 14, 2017 - At least a couple of hours decant. Floral and perfumed nose. Medium bodied at best; a complex wine showing notes of blueberries, a touch of aniseed, an 'earthiness', graphite, mocha / coffee grounds , some floral notes, with a juiciness from the Malbec, but yet a savoury edge to it. A very good line of acidity, some grippy tannin with a long intriguing finish. A very smart looking wine, so balanced. Simply delicious, so approachable and enjoyable. Where to from here? I don't know really, lots of enjoyment now - will have a look in another 5 years maybe 10?
