February 16, 2024 - This was delicious. Deep yellow color, medium/full bodied with the weight to standup to a wonderful Asian trout preparation. Apple, yellow stone fruit and a touch of honey but the sweetness very well balanced with acidity and still fresh. Entering a nice drinking window.
October 16, 2023 - The acidity now integrates better into the fruit cocktail. Much better than last time, but still not overwhelming.
October 7, 2023 - Starting its drinking window. Singing tonight. Petrol, banana, exotic fruits - unctuous. This nose and the first drops do not prepare you for the grapefruity acidity punch that follows. Extreme in a good way.
June 16, 2023 - Lik forrige flaske for 3 år siden. Sitrusfrukt, noe eple og flint. Synger ikke helt ennå, men sitter godt og flott tekstur/munnfølelse.
May 29, 2023 - Popped and poured. Seems very young and primary. Sweetish fruit and minerals. Began to improve immediately after opening, showing some class. Nose quite delicate, mouth more overt. Bit of a metallic edge on the very end. I think this has quite a ways to go. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.
May 29, 2023 - It's OK, but it's not the type of wine which profits from the warm and fruit dominating 2015 vintage. Too little structure, too much acidity. c'est dommage.
February 5, 2023 - Observations on this are unchanged from prior visit. The fruit is there, some floral elements but I’m missing the verve and tension one would expect from this site. Just comes off flabby and unremarkable at present. Could this change perhaps? I have my doubts.
September 24, 2022 - I'm a bit disappointed by this GG. Nothing particularly stood out - length, crispness, depth, je ne sais quoi. Didn't hold its own beside (admittedly more expensive) Champagne and Condrieu. Paired with sashimi.
September 23, 2022 - White peach and lychee on the nose. On the palate, pear, peach, lychee, and notes of lemon and lime citrus and something mineral on the medium to long finish, with strong acidity. This is excellent, and it was an excellent value at under $50. This should improve for some years, but it's a pleasure to drink now.
April 27, 2022 - Consumed over two nights. Mineral driven, even more so on day 1. Slate and wet stone linger for over a minute. Juicy acidity with salty grapefruit, orange peel, lime and overall citrus.
Food friendly, but I preferred as an aperitif so I could fully enjoy the mineral elements.
I would have left this in the cellar for longer but want to reduce my Riesling inventory by a bit. Has plenty of life left.
