March 5, 2024 - Wine best 3 days open. Was a bit closed day 1 and 2 but actually turning out to be a pretty nice wine.

March 1, 2024 - Lovely aromas of blueberry and vanilla along with tropical smells. On the palate, more balanced with some spice and earthiness

February 19, 2024 - Medium to light garnet color. The nose is savory and meaty. Underbrush, anis, grilled meat, beef broth, dried cherry. On the palate more savory notes, dried cherry, and a note of vicks cherry cough drop. Moderate acidity and tannins.

January 8, 2024 - Pale color, muted nose, evident evolution, light body, barely any finish in the astringent overpriced red. What an underwhelming wine for over $100+ one of the easiest hard passes of the last few years. Drink now, it won't improve.

December 29, 2023 - Couleur clair et avait un très léger goût de bouchon au nez qui a disparu avec le temps. N'a pas fait l'unanimité à table

September 3, 2023 - This Grenache blend from the great 2015 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape is drinking very nicely now, although still young.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Spicy and entertaining.

Showing red cherries, currants, plums, herbs, spices, oak, light licorice, red chili pepper and earth.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

Good by itself or with food. Needs a couple of hours in a decanter to open up properly, so take your time.

Robert Parker 94 points. Wine Spectator 95 points.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

A blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah and 5% other local varieties.

    14.5% alcohol by volume.

    92 points.

    $90.

August 17, 2023 - Drank over 3 nights and held up very well, tonnes of fruit with some long well balanced tannins. Great acidity so will easily improve further

May 25, 2023 - One hour decant. Deep ruby garnet color, with some rim fade. Pomegranate, fresh blackberry, lilac, and truffle-infused chocolate. Smooth, dry, plush palate, with fine, pixelated acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

Third wine of my birthday dinner, in a village outside of Lille (France). Great lineup and wonderful food and service at Restaurant L’Arbre Gruson.

May 14, 2023 - Hmmm, only an hour of air. Definitely not what I am used to from VT. Perhaps bottle variation. Notably thinner in style. Will wait another few years too try another bottle.

April 5, 2023 - PnP. Drank alongside a 2016 Domaine Grand Veneur Châteauneuf-du-Pape. For my palate, this was a much better bottle of wine.

Light in color, but packed a punch on the palate. Cherry, raspberry, and a generous dose of white pepper.
