January 3, 2022 - Awesome now. The screaming bubbles and oomph of the young UMs has subsided. At this point it is more toasty, nutty and savory than bright with racy acidity and citrus when it was young.

October 18, 2021 - Probably the oldest UM I've had, and drank really well. Oxidative house style mellowed a bit and evolved nicely into a more mature wine.

October 17, 2021 - Monthly Tasting Group: Chardonnay (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. First time with this producer. Nice, a bit different. I like the age here, gives it some character. Toasty, big nose, red apple, and ginger. The palate is full bodied, a bit rich, red apple, apple peel, spiced, orange peel, wood tones.

September 3, 2021 - Disgorged 11/28/2017. This was an odd showing - a bit flat, with some moderately oxidized flavors, also a note of geosmin that got me paranoid about TCA. I eventually gave up trying to coax more pleasure from the glass and decided to hope for the best on day 2.
Most of the bottle left the next day, and it's killer. Just beautiful, with tons of barely-ripe lemon fruit, very gentle sweetness, stony minerality, and delightful subtle pastry richness. For my sweet spot these need another couple of years, but it should be open season after that.
