June 10, 2018 - Could have been the food match (cioppino) but this was much lighter in style than I was hoping. Well made, good mid-palette and finish, but not as big a CA Chardonnay as I was hoping.

May 6, 2018 - Clear bright gold, hints of citrus, some oak, minerals, clean. As others have said, this is a classic California Chardonnay, and should be appreciated as such.

January 20, 2018 - A chore to drink. A dissapointing wine considering the terroir. Nose suggests some cheese and apples. Just oaky, buttery, boring Cali Chardonnay. Some acid is poking through, but it isn't enough to balance it out.

December 29, 2017 - Virtually all of this wine was barrel fermented and aged for nine months in French oak (20% new). Medium golden in color, it offers aromas and flavors of stone fruits, citrus, honeysuckle and vanilla. With medium acidity and well-integrated alcohol (14.2%), it is dense on the middle palate and finishes with impressive length. Since last tasted 7/9/17, the oak has now integrated and the wine is meritorious of outstanding status. Drink now-2022.

July 9, 2017 - This medium yellow/gold wine was 100% barrel fermented and aged for nine months in French oak (20% new). It is a voluptuous offering, flaunting aromas and flavors of honeysuckle, stone fruits, citrus and vanilla. With medium acidity and nicely integrated alcohol (14.2%), it has good mid-palate presence and a very lengthy, albeit oaky finish. This well-made Chardonnay has the stuffing to drink nicely over the next five years. A lighter hand with the oak would have vaulted it into the "outstanding" category. Drink now-2022.

March 13, 2017 - Wine Institute of California Tasting (Hotel Radisson Blu, Amsterdam Airport, NL): Tasting, brief note. High altitude limestone vineyards (600 metres above sea level), 12 months on French oak. Fresh and elegant, ripe but fresh fruit, present but well-integrated oak, good resonance and length.
