April 7, 2023 - Cork crumbled on opening so gently decanted through a sieve into a jug. Fresh plums, earth, pyrazine, red and blackcurrant, sweet spice, a little pencil shavings, forest floor. In the mouth it has medium plus intensity acidity, savoury, earthy, plummy, drying talc textured tannins, forest floor, leather in support and slight non-intrusive alcohol warmth on the finish. Hmm

November 22, 2022 - Coravin fun - Bordeaux 2000 and 2002 (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium plus intensity aromas of blackcurrant, slight cassis and wood glue note, leather, caramel, slight almost toffee apple (oddly) and red currant, slight forest floor, damp leaf note. Medium plus intensity acidity, plenty of drying chalky tannins close down the palate, slightly thought flavours of currant, cedar, leathery and earthy notes, slight non-intrusive alcohol warmth on the finish. nice though.

October 31, 2020 - Chateau d'Angludet mini vertical (KC's place): Last wine in the little vertical and, after the other wines, this comes across as closed with dense black fruits and plums, a little caramel and blackcurrant behind this. Juicy, all blackcurrant, plums, sweet spice, tannins are integrated and reined in, with time cassis and cream...it's very impressive considering the vintage. Bravo.

April 26, 2020 - From Coravin. On the nose there are aromas of leather, barnyard, mushrooms, brett, brambles, blackcurrant, aniseed, a little biscuit, slight metallic notes. It's juicy, savoury with brambly fruit, talc textured tannic burr on the tongue, aniseed, leather. Okay.

March 3, 2020 - Out of magnum this is still deep and fragrant. Almost some sweetness there after getting some air. An impressive 2002.
