August 10, 2019 - Fruit is fading somewhat, so the middle is not as present as it should be.

    June 4, 2019 - WIML93

    Tasted non blind.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of potpourri, soapstone, violet and raspberries. Flavors of raspberries, berries and a hint of tart cherry. Tangy acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink with air or hold.

May 24, 2019 - This bottle was not spoiled during storage. Similar to first bottle 2018, but less fresh fruit + a liqourice note. Drink, do not hold.

April 22, 2019 - Over the hill, and then some.... acidic backbone, with touches of oak. Most fruit gone.

March 16, 2019 - Popped & poured. Dark fruit and earth notes with a subtle bouillon undertone that takes some time to blow off. Plummy dark fruit and wood spices. Medium tannin. 88+ pts.

October 24, 2018 - Took an hour for nose to open up. Smooth, medium bodied, plummy black fruit, with toasty oak. Fine grained tannins on the long finish suggest a few more years of life.

Bought and cellared since release. Great QPR.

Strong cassis and wet oak on the nose got my hopes up.

Unfortunately i think this bottle was a year a two past its peak. Lacked a bit of fruit and acid so it was mostly a tannic experiance. It was still a good wine with oak and cassis notes but for the price of $46 I expected more from a 13 year old grand cru Bordeaux.
