August 4, 2012 - Good solid cork, wet about 1/4. Venturied. Much better bottle. Deep gold color. Citrus, sherry, but still lively nose. Definite oxidatative complexity here, but wne is still lively, no flatness, and with caramel custard elements that add layers to the lemon and grapefruit. Nice bitter lemon flavors combine with creme brule' sweetness on the long finish. Very good. Day 3 update; still lively. Crusty sugar, custard, acidity to balance. Sherry and oxidation remain in the background and add significant interest. Nice long finish. Enjoyed a lot.

May 13, 2012 - Color that thick gold of oxidation. Nose sherry and mild citrus. This wine is almost gone but still has tantalizing hints of quality. One taste is dead, then the next tastes of custard, bitter lemon, minerality. Still enough life to be an interesting wine. Wish I'd had this bottle a few years ago.

December 28, 2006 - A terrific bottle of chardonnay. The first from this producer that I have tasted. This beautiful from start to finish. The color has just begun to deepen from straw towards topaz. The nose is pure chardonnay fruit with no yeast, oxidative notes or oak overlay. I'm not sure what the oak regmine was but this is perfectly integrated. This is classic burgundian style chardonnay with perfect balance and a long finish benefiting from a respectably low alcohol of 13%. No tropical flavors here. A georgous food wine and a devine pairing with a simply grilled salmon filet. I would choose to drink this over almost any Cali chard other than a Mt. Eden estate.
