October 29, 2023 - bought on release, sound cork. Initially reticent nose, classy Cailleret fruit, minerals, stones. Late palate attack pungent, not as oily as some Le Moines, great follow through from attack to mid palate to finish.

May 5, 2020 - Another reviewer said that this wine is grand cru quality but I didn’t believe it. Now I do. Amazing viscous texture makes it feel luxurious in the mouth. Outstanding concentration of yellow fruit; if you’re looking for flowers or delicacy, you won’t find it, this is Chassagne. The oak is there but it’s well integrated. Mounir Saouma is known for making voluptuous wines and fortunately the house style and the steely 2014 vintage are a perfect combination. It seems to be at or very near peak.

June 26, 2019 - Expressive aromatics. Great concentration with laser like acidity. Keeps evolving for hours. Still young. Very impressive.

March 8, 2017 - Lucien Le Moine Tasting with Mounir Saouma (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Lots of reduction to start, so not much coming across aromatically. Leon and lemon peel flavors. Good concentration, but still overall almost impossible to fairly assess.
