December 12, 2023 - Serially sampled over 90 minutes from a well-cellared bottle that had been purchased upon release and double-decanted, Bryant's 2004 proved itself to be a tour de force. Comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it has a youthful opaque garnet robe and flaunts of bouquet of black currants, dark bramble fruits, Bing cherries, licorice, lavender, baking spices, espresso and bittersweet chocolate. Full-bodied, fresh and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.8%), it delivers a decadent, ripe flavor profile that is comparable to the nose. At this stage, the tannins and oak are well-woven and the mid-palate is layered. Long and silky on the back end, this is a monumental Napa Cab that has plenty of life left ahead.Well-cellared bottles should reach their 35th birthday with grace. Drink now-2039.

September 5, 2022 - P&P. Big and bold. Lots deep black fruit. Only thing lucky was the time in the glass. Seem to dive at the end. Drink or hold.

March 26, 2022 - Decanted for 1 hour and let breath for 1.5 hours after. Aromas of currant, blackberry, dried cherry, mint and plum. Flavors of cherry, blackberry, currant, earth, plum and hint of boysenberry. Ends with a 50-55 second finish with cherry and blackberry notes. The way this coats your mouth is crazy.

March 10, 2020 - Served to me by a friend; first time trying Bryant; this is very good; the nose is full of rich, dark fruit followed by oak spice and vanilla, violet, and hint of plowed earth. The palate is seamless and plush with excellent concentration and density, though not feeling heavy or out of balance. I think this is really still on the young side and if the oak integrates a bit more and allows more complexity on the nose to show through it will be outstanding. Probably needs 10 more years.

April 19, 2019 - A massive gentle giant of a wine. Decanted through a Vinturi and given 2 hours of air, this bottle offered a nose of deep purple berry that foretold rich layers of black fruit, currant and hints of oak and tobacco. Well integrated tannins, almost seamless, and a good 10 years left until its peak. Buy all you can find.

December 28, 2016 - Great initial flavor, concur with blueberry overtones. But slightly more tannic than I would have expected given other reviews and middle of projected life. Decanted half a bottle first night and stored under pump for second. Tannin never quite resolved. So I'll give this a couple more years before next bottle, but core flavors are excellent.
